Carissa’s Wedding
Saturday 1st April 2017
This loved up couple weren’t going to let a cyclone and a once in a 50 year flood ruin their special day!
On the day we arrived at 8am to start the hair and makeup transformation not completely sure if the wedding was going to go ahead as planned as the groom at this stage couldn’t get through the Tweed Rivers raging flood waters. We made the decision to start hair and makeup on the bridesmaids while hoping everything would fall into place.
After prepping and finishing off the bridesmaids we then began the bride Carissa’s hair and makeup. Carissa’s choice of hair and makeup was soft, natural and very flattering. Her hair is very long, thick and silky. We prepped by using our conical hair styler (curler) and pinned into a low bun , leaving soft waved pieces around the face. At her reception she then unravelled her updo and placed a floral halo on her luscious flowy hair.
Her skin was prepped using a primer and then a weightless foundation was applied using Napoleon Perdis Makeup. Highlighters were used to give the skin a gorgeous glow. Eyes were kept fresh with neutral tones. Lashes were added for volume and to enhance her natural eyelashes. A soft pink was added to the lips to complete her makeup.
This amazing look suited her calm nature and choice of wedding venue.
The day was filled with laughter, tears, love & determination! So happy to be part of such an amazing day where everything came together in the end!
